Homewood Science Center created the Chicago Southland STEM Network to convene, connect and celebrate STEAM programs in the south suburbs of Chicago. Our network includes educational institutions, parks, libraries and businesses that believe our diverse region can serve as a pipeline for STEAM talent. We work together to strengthen and expand STEAM learning opportunities both in and out of school. Our efforts supports K-12 students and provides workforce development to fill science and technology jobs in the future. Activities include bi-annual meetings, Educator Professional Development, STEAM Directory, and an annual Girls STEAM Ahead luncheon.
