Melinda (Mindy) Bell, is a Minnesota native. She earned her BA in Biology from Carleton College, and an MAT in Biological Education from the University of Washington. She has taught 5th grade through college-level science in six different states and in a wide variety of schools. Along the way, she has also helped write grant proposals and curriculum projects, and assisted with professional development for STEM educators. Mindy has been the STEM Coordinator for STEM City, a 501c3 non-profit in Flagstaff, since 2013. STEM City’s mission is to strengthen STEM literacy, to promote and expand community STEM activities, and to sustain STEM programming through resource recruitment.
