Are any of you planning to submit a proposal for this conference next summer? Several communities are planning to collaborate on a session submission and would like to know if any of our SLECoP colleagues will be there.
Let us know 1) if you will be there 2) if you are planning to or already have submitted a session 3) might be interested in joining a newly forming session team.in reply to: STEM 2020 Final Call for Proposals4 years, 2 months ago Julie StolzerKeymaster
The Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance executed a wonderful collaborative initiative around the run up to the movie including a book club in the Fall and a red carpet premiere of the movie for students. These tools could also work really well for the release of the DVD. Here is a link to the Tulsa program: http://tulsastem.org/hidden-figures/
They also provide tools that others can use/repurpose/rebrand for other communities including flyers, press releases and more.in reply to: Engineers week activities?4 years, 4 months ago Julie StolzerKeymaster
Apologies for the delay in replying. We are mid-stream in migrating from a the Google site discussion board to this newly launched message board and I fear that in the transition period some posts are not automatically pushed out to all subscribers. That said, the STEM Funders Network is supporting the roll out of the Connectory (Connectory.org) which is a tool intended to do just what you are asking. Currently several members of the Ecosystem are populating this tool with their local “opportunities”. Communities can use this tool for free as is and direct stakeholders to post programs/events which will then be captured based on a number of criteria (geographic location, content, topic, age group, participation fees etc.). There is also an API available for a fee for communities to embed it into their local sites and for a larger investment (TBD depending on complexity of request) a community can work with the Connectory to create a more customized user interface. Happy to connect you directly to someone at The Connectory to discuss in greater detail.
Best, Julie Stolzer
