Senate HELP Committee Hearing on the Opioid Crisis (E&S, H)
Subject: The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee will hold a hearing titled, “The Opioid Crisis: An Examination of How We Got Here and How We Move Forward.” Witnesses: Sam Quinones, journalist and author.

National Science Board Committee on Science and Engineering Policy Meeting (E&S, H)
Subject: The National Science Board’s Committee on National Science and Engineering Policy (SEP) will hold a teleconference to discuss the policy companion statement for science and engineering indicators 2018. Subject: The Shanker Institute and the American Federation of Teachers will hold an event to discuss the role American education plays in teaching democratic citizenship.
