At our Sustainability by Design^TM session (May 15, 2018), our TIES liaison, Veniese Bradley-Mitchell led us through SMART Goals Planning. This is a framework to guide us through the upcoming year. We will refer to our SMART goals at our monthly meetings. Everyone is encouraged to participate.

    What are SMART Goals?

    Goal: Specific/Strategic, Measurable, Achievable/Attainable, Relevant, Time-Bound

Specific/Strategic: What is the goal to achieve? Who is undertaking it, and where will it take place?

Measurable: How will you measure the success of the goal? Quantify success.

Achievable/Attainable: Is the goal achievable? Resources needed to attain. What factors might prevent you from achieving your goal? Reframing goal for success.

Relevant: Why is the goal important? What values does it reflect? Effect on you/your ecosystem.

Time-Bound: When will you achieve the goal by? Start and end dates.
