Dear North Louisiana STEM Alliance Team,
The Shreveport-Bossier Mini Maker Faire is coming up Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds. The North Louisiana STEM Alliance has designated this event as our flagship STEAM event of the year. We need more Makers, publicity, on-site volunteers, donations, and visitors, especially students and families.
The Mini Maker Faire is a family-friendly event that brings together science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics (STEAM) along with craft, food, workshops, and performance. This event is free and open to the public and creates opportunities for K-12 students to learn more about locally relevant careers, including sectors such as manufacturing, health care, biotechnology, cyber and trades. Visitors also will meet local makers and learn about local career pathways and opportunities for learners of all ages.
