Good morning!
I wanted to let you know of an upcoming conference that I think will be of great interest to many of your business partners.
ChickTech, a nationwide nonprofit focused on getting and keeping girls and women in high tech, is hosting their first national ACT-W conference April 10-13th in Phoenix (see ACT-W.org). The goals of the ACT-W conference, Advancing the Careers of Technical Women, is to foster women leaders at all levels of tech companies, discuss strategies to change industry culture, and build a community of support and empowerment.
Forbes recently recommended the ACT-W conference as a top 10 conference in 2018 for education entrepreneurs.
Prior regional ACT-W conferences have been amazingly successful. Results indicate that women often feel isolated in the tech industry, and if we can provide them with a sense of community, they feel more powerful, confident, and willing to lead change rather than leaving the industry.
Given the current national conversation around misogyny, inequality, and sexual harassment, I can’t imagine a more timely conference… It would be great to have our STEM ecosystems’ voices at the table, and particularly individuals from your corporate partners.
For more information, please visit http://www.ACT-W.org or http://www.ChickTech.org. It would be great to see you there!
