The Overdeck Family Foundation is filling three roles:
1) Operations Analyst: The Operations Analyst will ensure smooth operations for the Foundation team, support internal and external events on behalf of the Foundation, support the Foundation’s Vice President, and work with grantees and the Foundation Secretary to streamline grant processes.
2) Program Analyst, Exceptional Educators: Program Analyst for the Exceptional Educators portfolio, which focuses on empowering teachers to unlock students’ excitement for learning. The Program Analyst will report to Marc Chun, the Exceptional Educators Program Officer, and key responsibilities include maintaining an evidence research base, supporting data for greater learning and improvement, and efficiently managing the grantmaking workflow. Current investment strategies in the portfolio include (a) attract and retain high-quality, diverse candidates in teaching; (b) provide new teachers with rigorous, practice-based preparation; (c) transform teacher professional learning by seeding and scaling evidence-based, cost-effective programs; and (d) encourage systems to adopt high-quality instructional materials.
3) Program Officer, Inspired Minds: Program Officer to lead the Foundation’s Inspired Minds portfolio, which focuses on inspiring young minds through out-of-school STEM. The Program Officer will manage the Inspired Minds portfolio toward impact, influence, and learning, aligned with Foundation’s measures of success, while maintaining an understanding of the landscape and the broader philanthropic sector and developing and driving goals, strategy decisions, and grantmaking aligned to a logic model. In addition, this individual will also be influencing the broader STEM community, focused specifically on out of school STEM and Family Math. Current investment strategies include (a) increase access to out-of-school STEM; (b) increase the quality of out-of-school-STEM; (c) build positive perception of STEM In students and families, including through family math; and (d) support potential future innovators in building STEM and 21st century skills.
