Encore fellows

    Hi everyone,
As a newbie, I’m not sure if this is a question or a discussion.  I’m wondering if anyone has made use of Encore Fellows in their work—these are mostly retired executives who bring a lot to the table and work for 1000 hours a year (time limited) for $25,000.  They don’t come with as many “strings attached” as VISTA volunteers. For example, no specific form of supervision or work arrangements are required.  We have a lot of highly talented retirees in Maine, including a number of STEM professionals who live here in the summer.

So, what’s the group’s experience with these Fellows, either as part of the ecosystem or perhaps within your nonprofits?
