I KNOW this varies greatly from country to country, state to state, city to city, and school district to school district. But in your world: Do you require that STEM classroom presenters procure child abuse clearances, criminal background checks, and FBI clearances? By classroom presenters, I don’t mean mentors or tutors. I mean scientists (and other STEM professionals) who visit classrooms and offer 1-2 hour self-contained presentations. If you do have a policy, can you include what it’s based on/which laws or regulations generated your policy?
You can respond via this thread or to me directly – thanks!
