From Dr. David LaFargue, LaSTEM Program Manager, Louisiana Board of Regents:
The 2019 LaSTEM Annual Summit will be held on November 7, 2019 at Raising Cane’s River Center in Baton Rouge. This event is a one day summit intended to showcase STEM best practices, engage key stakeholders pertaining to three focus areas (Prek-12, Higher Education & Workforce), and discuss implementation of Regional STEM Centers/Directors throughout Louisiana. Breakout sessions will take place prior to lunch and focus on best practices and overcoming barriers to STEM pathways. Jeff Weld will be the keynote speaker.
Commercial Exhibitors & Sponsors
The sponsorship form shows the various levels for sponsoring the event and what all is included. Also, I’m including the Call for Proposals (due October 11, 2019) in the event you have someone interested in presenting. Keep in mind that special consideration will be given to presentations demonstrating creative solutions to increase STEM pathway awareness and overcoming barriers to STEM pathway educational training and employment. Instead of sending the attachments through email, I uploaded the forms to the LaSTEM website. Click HERE to access them.
Please see attached Call for Presenters, due October 11.
Registration
I encourage you share this event with key stakeholders in Louisiana you feel will benefit from attending and/or sponsoring. This event is free to registered attendees, but keep in mind space is limited.
