    Announcements/Discussions:

Dianne Clark notified the group that the August Sci-Port newsletter will highlight the North Louisiana STEM Alliance. Members are asked to please send their Bright Spot Briefs to Heather Kleiner (hkleiner@sciport.org) so we can create a special issue. Discuss summer programs, lives touched, themes, give brief “blurbs”, even photos (as long as a photo release has been signed). Heather will add a summary and purpose about what we do as an Ecosystem.

Heather showed the group the website https://www.nlastemalliance.org and asked the group to confirm their names are on the website properly along with their logos. Please send a new logo if necessary. Materials can also be uploaded to the Google drive (separate instructions will be sent).

Richard Scott talked about expansion of STARBASE.

Tulin Melancon passed out LSU-S Continuing Education catalogs. She said they are always looking for qualified instructors.

    New Member Introductions:

    ·      Teachers at Green Oaks are interested in STEM support particularly with coding/robots.

    ·      Torris Ferguson, Campus President of Ayers Career College, joined the group

    ·      Samantha Ramirez, owner of Challenge Island, discussed the cross-curricular STEAM programming her organization offers
