Findings from the 2017 Schooling in America Survey (E&S)
Subject: The American Enterprise Institute (AEI) will host an event to present the findings from EdChoices annual “Schooling In America” survey, followed by a discussion of the survey’s implications for students, parents, public education supporters, reformers, policymakers, and K–12 education policy in America. This year’s report also highlights the opinions of small town and rural residents.

EHR Advisory Committee Meeting of the National Science Foundation (E&S, H)
Subject: The National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Directorate for Education and Human Resources (EHR), will meet on November 30 – December 1. The role of the EHR Advisory Committee for the Directorate for Education and Human Resources (EHR) is to provide advice, guidance, recommendations, and oversight concerning NSF’s programs for education and human resource development. The agenda will include sessions about Public-Private Partnerships, Launching a STEM Education Initiative, and EHR’s new Hispanic-Serving Institutions program. Updates on selected EHR programs and on Open Education Resources are planned, as is a discussion with NSF Director France Córdova and COO Joan Ferrini-Mundy.
